14 Days in Malawi
2 weeks of Malawi at your fingertips
Be exhilarated by the views atop Mulanje Mountain, get whisked away by the abundance of wildlife in the growing Liwonde National park and of course soak up the sun on the beautiful Nankoma Island overlooking the picturesque infinity pool and the expanse of Lake Malawi, horse ride along the beach, go back in time to the historical abundance in Livingstonia and maybe find that waterfall!
Day 1: Meet in Mulanje, Transfer options available from Lilongwe & Blantyre! It's the climb - We make our way to the first mountain hut to take as much of this stunning scenery as we can.
Day 2: Optional hike up to the peak of Mulanje - Others can potter around the mountain, and we try out a different hut for the night!
Day 3: Back down the mountain we go and it's a short drive to Liwonde National Park for a spot of Safari! En-route though we have a few highlights!
Day 4: Eat, Sleep, Safari! Our favourite! Game drives, boat safaris and walking safaris are all on offer here.
Day 5: On the road again, we hit up some epic historical faves en route to your own little island - Catch a boat across and relax on the shores of Lake Malawi.
Day 6: A day in paradise, Scuba diving, swimming, kayaking, hiking, boating and more all up for grabs here. And for the more luxurious traveller - Upgrade your stay to an en-suite lake view chalet!
Day 7: Continuing North we find ourselves in Nkhotakhota Wildlife Reserve where we soak up the mountain wilderness vibe.
Day 8: This is the day we find ourselves on horseback riding along the beach and through fresh water waves. Horse riding scare you? That's fine, you can feed one a carrot and do something else instead!
Day 9 & 10: We settle for two nights on the northern lakeshore, soaking up sun and exploring this hip happening area.
Day 11 & 12: Off to Livingstonia we go - It's historical, laid back, adventurous and the views are incredible!
Day 12: Our last night before flying out - and what a celebration it will be.
